Target Kinematic State Estimation With Passive Multistatic Radar

چکیده

This article examines methods for and results of determining the instantaneous kinematic state a target, i.e., its velocity heading, using passive multistatic radar. is achieved by combining bistatic target range Doppler information obtained multiple transmitter-receiver pairs, to estimate appropriate vector. estimation provided as set closed-form equations, derived general case applicable an arbitrary number transmitters. The feasibility proposed approach accuracy predictions, function transmitters, are experimentally confirmed via dedicated experimental campaign with Global Navigation Satellite Systems transmitters opportunity, where two different relatively slow-moving maritime targets were in field view up 12 satellite belonging constellations (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo) simultaneously.

Target Tracking for Multistatic Radar with Transmitter Uncertainty∗

We present a target tracking system for a specific sort of passive radar, that using a Digital Audio/Video Broadcast (DAB/DVB) network for illuminators of opportunity. The system can measure bi-static range and range-rate. Angular information is assumed here unavailable. The DAB/DVB network operates in a single frequency mode; this means the same data stream is broadcast from multiple senders i...

Passive Polarimetric Multistatic Radar Detection of Moving Targets

We study the exploitation of polarimetric diversity in passive multistatic radar for detecting moving targets. We first derive a data model that takes into account polarization and anisotropy of targets inherent in multistatic configurations. Unlike conventional isotropic models in which targets are modeled as a collection of uniform spheres, we model targets as a collection of dipole antennas ...

Multifrequency and Multistatic Inverse Synthetic Aperture Radar, with Application to FM Passive Radar

This paper deals with the imaging of a moving target using a multifrequency and multistatic radar consisting in one receiver and several narrowband transmitters. Considering two hypotheses about the studied target, we derive two multistatic inverse synthetic aperture radar processors: the first one, which models the target as a set of isotropic points, performs a coherent sum of bistatic images...

Bi- and Multistatic Radar

Biand multistatic radar are expected to benefit from their separation of transmitter and receiver that denies receiver recognition by ARM, favours covered operation by their silent receivers, has higher detection possibilities of stealthy objects and is less vulnerable to jamming. The requirements of synchronisation in a separated transmitter-receiver system are discussed. The processing in bis...
